Product Information

Ocote is the Mayan word for "torch". Ocote is a naturally fast growing wood from Central America which has a very high resin content. Simply light with a match or lighter and the ocote stick will produce a flame which can be used to light fires. Used by traditional Mayan people to light fires for heating and cooking purposes.

Ocote fragrant pine wood is 100% natural material with no artificial chemicals. Safe to use in clay chimeneas, will not crack the chimenea.

When burning the resin it produces a distinctive sweet and pleasant smelling odour.
