Why Buy A Barbecue

By admin | May 5, 2008

Why buy a barbecue? I was having a discussion with a friend of mine the other evening and his frustrated partner said “why on earth do you want to have a barbecue outside when we have a perfectly good kitchen inside with a dishwasher and no mess?”

The answer is not that simple really, I am convinced this goes back to basic caveman instincts and the need to both provide for the family and possibly burn things. Men like lighting fires don`t they?

Many a good family row has been started by the male desire to get the barbecue out burn the food and force his suffering partner to eat his poorly prepared food. Does this sound familier?

A good quality modern barbecue such as these sold by Alfresia will help answer all these criticisms , it is possible with modern temperature controls and closing hoods to reduce smoke and cook more evenly and not to cremate the food. We can all have a great BBQ experience now without the worry.

When people talk to me about purchasing a new barbecue they ask me which gives you a better flavour “charcoal or gas?”.

The answer to this is that both charcoal and gas barbecues give you the same flavour. The question you should ask is “how much do I intend to use it?”.

Charcoal barbecues are great for people who only intend to use it a few times a year as they are cheap and easy to setup.

Gas barbecues are more exspensive to purchase but work out cheaper to run over time. These barbecues are great for people who intend to get alot of use each year out of the barbecue.

Which ever barbecue you choose to purchase be it charcoal or gas make sure it has a ten year warranty.
