Compare that to a kitchen overhaul which has a recovery value of 75-125%, and a bathroom remodel with a recovery of 80-120%, and you can see for yourself that landscaping is an economical way to add value to your home.
In addition, a properly landscaped garden can help to overcome potential site problems – such as drainage, erosion, and wind or dust problems. By taking time to evaluate your site and do appropriate planning, you can create outdoor rooms that can be an extension of your home as well as places for privacy or entertaining.
By learning the basics of landscaping you can determine what your needs are and then evaluate if you can accomplish the actual landscaping yourself or if you need to hire a professional.
People approach landscaping with different viewpoints and backgrounds. Your needs might dictate an easy maintenance approach while your neighbour might want extensive flower and vegetable gardens. In either case taking the time to properly plan the landscape can save time, headaches and money while giving you a garden you can enjoy.
