Roses are definitely one of the most popular flowers to plant. They never seem to lose their appeal. But which of rose best suits your ideas for planting? There are so many to choose from, but here are some ideas.

Landscape roses
Landscape roses are great for the beginner. They are resistant to disease, and need less nurturing.
Hybrid teas are not good for the novice gardener.
Climbing Roses
These rose plants are different from other types as they are trained to climb upward in a similar way to vines. Many gardeners like to use these for pergolas or walls. Some types are hybrid teas, wichuraiana and large flowered climbers. They can be a lovely addition to the look of a house or garden.
Shrub Roses
Shrub roses including the lovely rugosa have a long flowering season and are resistant to disease. These are also excellent for the newcomer to gardening. They are gorgeous even when they are not flowering because the leaves are so pretty.
Old Garden Roses
These roses not a good choice for anyone with strong allergic reactions to powerful scents because this variety have a powerful fragrant scent. However, they are disease resistant and have a long flowering season.
The Modern Rose
These are a special type because they are the effect of crossing the hybrid tea with the polyanthus. They are also called Floribunda. They are a pretty mix of the best the two flowers have to offer. They are fragrant,long blooming and great for cutting.
Miniature Roses
Miniature roses are exactly what their name suggests. They have all of the fragrance and beauty of a regular rose, but they have smaller flower heads. This rose variety are a good choice for containers on patios and indoor planting.
